How to make the most of your learning

A short guide to what's inside the platform and the best way to move through it.

What's inside

Courses, modules & topics
Each course is organised into modules, and each module into topics. A topic is the unit you study — concise, self-contained, and complete.
Three levels per topic
Every topic is written at Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels (Bloom-aligned). You pick the depth that fits you.
Scholar-validated content
Objectives, lessons and quizzes are validated by a qualified scholar before they teach. Diagrams and tables are recreated faithfully from validated sources.
An Intelligent Tutor on every page
Ask questions any time. The tutor answers only from validated material, cites sources, and escalates sensitive matters to a scholar.
Learn in your language
Lessons are taught in English — a valuable international language for this field — but you are never limited by it. Translate any page into your language with your browser’s built-in translator, and on the Tutor choose your “Answer language” to ask questions and get explanations in your own language, grounded in the validated material with key Islamic terms kept intact.
A micro-credential per level
Meet a level’s criteria and a detailed, verifiable micro-credential is prepared and released after scholarly review — it shows employers exactly what you learned, and can be refreshed as you return for improved content.

How to proceed

  1. 1

    Start with the diagnostic

Take the short pre-learning assessment for your course. It samples across the Bloom bands and places you at the highest level where you score at least 70% — so you neither repeat what you know nor jump in too deep. A placement is required before a course’s topics open: take the diagnostic (recommended), or choose your own starting level if you skip it. Because the diagnostic measures your pre-learning level, it locks once you begin the course (after your first topic quiz) — so take or retake it freely beforehand, then it’s fixed as your baseline.

  2. 2

    Open the course outline

Browse the modules and topics. Work in sequence for a guided path, or jump to the topic you need. Each topic shows its place in the course.

  3. 3

    Choose your level and study

Within a topic, read the Basic, Intermediate or Advanced learning object — whichever matches your placement or goal. Move up a level whenever you’re ready.

  4. 4

Ask your Tutor as you go

Stuck on a term or want a worked example? Ask the Tutor from any page. It stays within validated material and shows you where its answer comes from.

  5. 5

    Take the topic quiz

Confirm your understanding with the post-learning quiz, matched to the three levels. It tells you whether you’ve truly grasped the material at the depth you chose. You pass at 60% or above; score below and you’ll get a simpler explanation and can retake it — there’s no penalty, the goal is mastery.

  6. 6

    Earn your micro-credential

Meet a level’s criteria and your micro-credential is prepared and released after scholarly review — published online with a unique code, verifiable by employers, listing the exact competencies and Bloom levels you mastered. It isn’t issued automatically; a scholar confirms it before it becomes official.

  7. 7

    Return — learning never ends

Content is continuously updated as global scholarship evolves. Revisit your courses to study what has been newly added, refined and re-validated — and your credential can be refreshed (re-issued after review) to match. Revisiting only ever raises your standing — your credential keeps your highest score and level, and never goes down.

  8. 8

    Build towards a Netversity qualification

Your micro-credentials carry weight beyond Islamic.University: each corresponds, in credit terms, to the certificates awarded by Netversity International, so the credits you earn here are recognised by Netversity. You may accumulate them towards a Professional Diploma or Degree awarded by Netversity — the one further requirement being the successful completion of a Capstone Project, undertaken under the direct supervision of Netversity scholars.
